How to Craft Golden Pickaxe in Minecraft

Golden Pickaxe Item ID and Give Command
The item ID for Golden Pickaxe is minecraft:golden_pickaxe. In commands the namespace may be left off, so golden_pickaxe works too. Checked against Minecraft Java 26.2.

Repairing Golden Pickaxe
Those 32 uses are not the end of the road. Feed Golden Pickaxe back onto an anvil with Gold Ingot and it comes back up with its enchantments intact.
The grindstone does the same merge for free, at a price: it takes the enchantments with it. Fine for a plain Golden Pickaxe, wasteful for one you have put levels into.
Mending can go on Golden Pickaxe, and that is the only repair that costs nothing at all: the experience you pick up flows into the item instead of into your own level, so it never sees an anvil again.

The recipe itself last changed in Minecraft 1.21.2. Guides written before that release show a different set of ingredients for the golden pickaxe, so check the grid above rather than the video.
The materials come together from a few sources: you will be working with gold ingot (smelt gold ore or mine nether gold ore) and stick (craft from planks).

Deepslate is the toughest thing on this list a golden pickaxe still drops. Iron Ore breaks under it in 1.25s and leaves nothing behind, so that swing is wasted.
