How to Craft Blast Furnace in Minecraft

On a Crafting Table, 5 Iron Ingots, 1 Furnace, and 3 Smooth Stone turns into a Blast Furnace. From the top down: three Iron Ingots; then two Iron Ingots in the outer columns and a Furnace in the middle column; then three Smooth Stone. One go makes 1 Blast Furnace.
Blast Furnace Item ID and Give Command
The item ID for Blast Furnace is minecraft:blast_furnace. In commands the namespace may be left off, so blast_furnace works too. Checked against Minecraft Java 26.2.
- Give yourself one
/give @p blast_furnace- Give a full stack of 64
/give @p blast_furnace 64- Give it to a named player
/give Steve blast_furnace 1
Cheats have to be on for Blast Furnace to appear this way, and the same command works on Bedrock Edition, where the name is written the same.
Overview
The Blast Furnace smelts ores and metal armor/tools at double speed but only works with ores and metals. Blast Furnace uses a shaped recipe: the ingredients only work in the pattern shown. A Blast Furnace smelts ores and metal items at twice the speed of a normal furnace, but only accepts ore-type and metal inputs. It is the natural upgrade once you are processing iron and gold in bulk.
This recipe first appears in the game's own data files in Minecraft 1.14, and not in the release before it.
The materials come together from a few sources: you will be working with iron ingot (smelt iron ore), furnace (craft from cobblestone), and smooth stone (smelt stone).
The Stack Arithmetic
5 iron ingots for 1 blast furnace scales to 12 out of a 64 stack. You supply 36 smooth stone to go with it. That leaves 4 iron ingots with no partner.
Materials Needed
Collect 5x Iron Ingot (smelt iron ore), Furnace (craft from cobblestone), and 3x Smooth Stone (smelt stone) first; the Crafting Table does the rest.
The Full Chain
5 crafts deep: Stone, Smooth Stone, Furnace, Iron Ingot, then the Blast Furnace. All in: 5 Iron Ore and 11 Cobblestone.
