How to Craft End Rod in Minecraft

End Rod in Minecraft, drawn from the game's own item texture. Light source with level 14. Minecraft has used the name End Rod since 1.9.

On a Crafting Table, 1 Blaze Rod and 1 Popped Chorus Fruit turns into End Rods. The grid takes a single Blaze Rod in the top-middle cell and a single Popped Chorus Fruit in the bottom-middle cell. That comes out as 4 End Rods.

End Rod Item ID and Give Command

The item ID for End Rod is minecraft:end_rod. In commands the namespace may be left off, so end_rod works too. Checked against Minecraft Java 26.2.

Give yourself one
/give @p end_rod
Give a full stack of 64
/give @p end_rod 64
Give it to a named player
/give Steve end_rod 1

Cheats have to be on for End Rod to appear this way, and the same command works on Bedrock Edition, where the name is written the same.

Overview

End Rods emit light level 14 and can be placed in any direction. Found naturally in End cities. End Rod uses a shaped recipe: the ingredients only work in the pattern shown.

Minecraft has used the name End Rod since 1.9, the oldest release whose language file lists it.

The materials come together from a few sources: you will be working with blaze rod (kill blazes in Nether fortresses) and popped chorus fruit (smelt chorus fruit).

Per Stack

64 crafts drain a stack: 64 blaze rods become 256 end rods. On top of that: 64 popped chorus fruits. Craft 64 takes the last blaze rod, with nothing spare.
